OUT OF THE BOX PRODUCTIONS

Out of the Box Productions is an outreach affiliate of Overflow Ministries Covenant Church. Its purpose is to sponsor, produce, and publish literary, creative, and audio/visual performance works.  These works can clearly be Gospel or Inspirational!

Inspirational performance works are often categorized as such because they do not typically fit the stereotypical format of church, tradition, or an acceptable  religious format.  Such formats might include, but not be limited to other genres of music (other than traditional Gospel), publications, theatrical, etc.

The prophetic word of the Lord to our Apostle and Pastor on June 7, 1996 was:

“Now brother, God is putting an iron hammer in your hand about tradition.  From this forth my friend, what other men can tolerate will make you sick!”

Religion focuses on actions and works and not one’s relationship with Christ!  It is our firm belief that there are those who find themselves full of things that originated in God even before they may have consciously accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.  For many Believers, these gifts and/or talents do not appropriately find their expression within a church service.  The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is God’s vehicle to manifest his presence in the earth.  However, the Church is a part of the Kingdom of God.  This Kingdom is not outside of the Believer but rather, within. (Luke 17:21)

Out of The Box Productions then serves our church and its members as a vehicle by which they can express God’s gifts and ministries to them which do not fit within the confines of the church, but are very much a part of the Kingdom of God.

“for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things[e]is acceptable to God and approved by men.”     Romans 14:17-18 (NKJV)
